I just read an article about this interesting study ---A University of Washington study revealed that major aspects of a single mom's life are influenced by whether her child is a boy or a girl. Two University of Washington economists found that an unmarried mother is 42 percent more likely to marry the father if the child is a boy.

Why is this so:

I think the top reason might be because fathers have an immediate bond in their mind with a son and then a mother will have an easier time marrying the man (if she wants to marry him).

Look at how important male children are in foreign countries...I don't think this is a cultural thing but a human nature thing....I don't know what do you gals think?
