I am a unmarried mother and am planning to take my son out of the country to live. The father of my son has never been there for my child financially or emotionally. I live with him but wish to leave and move on with life. Am I able to do so? And if I do, what trouble will I get into? What should be the best thing to do in this case? Please help me!

yep, get a lawyer. However, to leave the country and get your child a passport your child's father has to sign the passport and it has to be notarized. If he refuses to sign it than you must have a court order overriding his decision and that means if it goes to court the paternity of the father will be established in court and it could go either way.

So, get a lawyer!
