Attorney tells me that I should tell my children that they can no longer see their best friend ever because my ex and his new wife don't like their best friends father even though it has been confirmed that I am not involved with him and that he is actually a positive influence on the children. Have my children's rights been violated since I have sole custody and there is no harm to the children. The only harm being caused is by their father and his new wife because they want to get even with me and will use the children and whatever other means to do that.

I don't understand the situation... it is my understanding that either parent can take the child/ren around anyone they see fit unless it is a physical or mental detriment to the child...
