I feel so discouraged, and really, quite frankly, scared as hell. My daughter is almost 10 months old. Her father hasn't seen her since she was less than 3 months old. We live in different states and always have. Have never been married and haven't lived together in over 3 years years. Getting pregnant was a total fluke. He does not pay child support, which is totally fine, as long as he doesn't get to see her. I just want him to go. In November he said he would sign away his parental rights. Once I had that paperwork drawn up he changed his mind. He has not filed for visitation and I havent filed for anything. Does anyone know what I should do?! Or what my options are?

Is his name on the Birth Certificate??? If it is, he has exactly the same rights as you do... 50/50.

Support and Custody/visitation are two entirely different courts and are not interlinked... whether or not he pays support does not negate his rights to see his child.

If his name isn't on the Birth Certificate, he has no rights whatsoever unless he sues you for paternity and is put on the birth certificate.
