I am new here and I have a question about transportations. We have divorced for about a year or so and I was just told I have a temporary night blindness issue and I can't drive. I will have surgery next year, so this is temporary. My ex will not budge on our order, which states the parenting using parenting time provides transportation. I have full custody, he gets every Tuesday 5-8 pm and every other weekend Friday at 6-Sunday at 6. I offered everything. We are actually due in court MOnday, because I am taking him back to change our custody to add Right of First Refusal, change the transportation order and add phone calls.

Does anyone have any options? He lives about 20-30 minutes from here, depending on the nasty winter weather.

Thank you!

This is a very interesting case--medical case.

I would be interested in hearing how it turns out.
I think many people on these boards would like to hear how medical issues are handled by judges in your state (other states).

Anyway, 30 minutes doesn't seem like a lot of time, maybe your ex-will compromise or the judge will strongly suggest he compromises to drive over for pickup and drop off.

I can see the judge asking you..."Do you have anyone that can help you at least once a month on the driving?"...you should say yes, to show that you are really trying on your end, or it wouldn't look good.

Is there a friend or family member who can help you out?
