Hello, I am in a very troubling situation with this matter. My sister lives across the globe where mothers rights in custody may be different and the fact being that she and the father of the child where not married and she has just become a leagal citizen of Australia makes it all more complicated. Papers have just been served for custody and court looks like it is about a month away. This guy has a criminal background and as far a s I know recent laws have been put into effect that don't really award FULL custody to either one parent. Can anybody help in any way with advice in the legalities, organizations in Australia that may help, mothers rights or anything. I am desparate for info and help. Sad
