I am a single mom of two. I would like to know if having sole custody makes it to where I can move to a different state or is it the Full custody that I can move? I know that I have to give the other parent a 60 day notice. I am just trying to figure these to things out. Right now I have sole custody. I go back to court next month for my settlement and I need to know what one is what so I ask for the right custody.

Even if you had sole custody with dad having just visitation rights a judge could still make you stay where you are at. However, there is nothing in your order saying you can't move, just that you have to give notice. So give the notice and move after the 60 days. Dad does have the right to contest this and can take you to court to try and stop the move and than a judge will decide if he will let you move or not.
