I am new here and I could really use some advice. The situation between my ex-husband and myself is very tense, and to make a long story short:
He is a detention officer and after he had assaulted me on September 3, 2007 I called 911... Only to be charged with simple assault. The magistrate never even talked with me. No one knew my side orf the story. NOW I have a warrant out for my arrest AGAIN in another county because yesterday our one-year old daughter had a doctor appointment and I chose to attend even though I did not have her in my custody. Well, we get in there and he won't even let me touch her. SHe reaches for me and ever time I reached back he jerked her away. I decided to be the bigger person and leave the office, anly to find out that he called the cops and said that I had assaulted him by scratching his arm. Now this man is 6'4" and 250 lbs. I am 5'6" and 120 lbs. So now, I am just waiting to hear from my attorney. If I really do have a warrant for my arrest, that would mean I would get charged again with assault, and my court date for the last time is coming up soon. It seems like I have NO rights and everything falls his way- like me, as the mother of y child, cannot defend myself or her.
Thank you for taking time to read this.
