Hi my name is Tara... My ex-husband disappeared with my kids almost two and a half years ago... I was in the army at the time and my unit would not let me leave to take care of what was going on... I have not talked to my children in almost a year... I don't know what to do because I don't have the money to get an attourney and no one seems to want to help with this... Every time that I think I am making some headway, something happens and I end up right back where I started... I don't know what to do... I need help! My daughter has special needs because she is blind in one eye and he has me blocked from her medical records. I don't want my children around my family because I know how abusive they are. I don't want them to grow up the way I did. Please, anybody who can offer any advice or help please let me know! Thank you...

Tara

You may be able to get a free first time consultation with a local lawyer to find some of your options. I know you can petition the court for anything really, at least in Va. Do you have any idea where he went? You may be able to petition the court for visitation rights and maybe they would have to track him down. Perhaps there is a kidnapping statute in your state. I am throwing out some ideas that you may be able to research. Can you get any help from the military if you are still active? Hope I came up with a new angle you can go at this with. I can't imagine not knowing where my kids are. (((((((((((((((((tara))))))))))))))
